SDO Ligao City, DOLE Converge TUPAD for Brigada Eskwela Programs
LIGAO CITY, Albay – The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Albay Provincial Office, successfully integrated the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program with this year's Brigada Eskwela, providing temporary emergency employment opportunities to qualified beneficiaries while supporting school preparation activities.
The initiative demonstrates the strong collaboration between the education sector, local government, and community stakeholders in promoting both employment and education-related programs.
SGOD Social Mobilization unit expressed its gratitude to Schools Division Superintendent Nympha Guemo for her continued leadership in inspiring community stakeholders and fostering meaningful partnerships that support educational initiatives. Appreciation was also extended to Ligao City Mayor Fernando Vallejo Gonzalez for allowing the use of the Ligao City Gymnasium for the TUPAD orientation and related activities.
The convergence of TUPAD and Brigada Eskwela underscores the commitment of partner agencies to provide livelihood opportunities while strengthening community participation in preparing schools for the opening of classes.
