Education Leaders attend Division GAS-TUKLAS Program Orientation

Education Leaders attend Division GAS-TUKLAS Program Orientation

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City successfully conducted the Division Orientation on GAS-TUKLAS (Government Assistance and Subsidies - Training and Upgrading Knowledge for Learners, Teachers, and Achievers in Schools) on September 15, 2026, at Bernese Resort Hotel, Paulog, Ligao City.

The activity brought together Education Program Supervisors (EPSs), Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs), and public and private school heads to deepen their understanding of the GAS-TUKLAS program and its implementation guidelines. The orientation forms part of the division's continuing efforts to ensure that government assistance and subsidy programs are effectively managed and aligned with the learning and professional development needs of learners, teachers, and schools.

In her message, Schools Division Superintendent Nympha D. Guemo emphasized the importance of strategic investments in education through responsive assistance and capacity-building programs. She underscored the role of school leaders in ensuring that grants and subsidies translate into meaningful opportunities that improve teaching practices, learner outcomes, and school performance.

The discussions provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the program's policies, eligibility requirements, quality assurance mechanisms, implementation processes, and monitoring and evaluation systems. Participants also engaged in meaningful exchanges on how GAS-TUKLAS can support schools in providing training, professional development opportunities, and learning enrichment activities that contribute to overall educational excellence.

The orientation reaffirmed the division's commitment to promoting equitable access to educational opportunities and ensuring that government assistance programs are implemented with transparency, accountability, and impact. Through GAS-TUKLAS, SDO Ligao City aims to empower schools, develop the capacities of educators, and create opportunities for learners to excel and achieve their full potential.
