SDO Ligao City Showcases SBM Excellence at the 7th Regional Assembly of SBM Practitioners
The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City actively participated in the 7th Regional Assembly of School-Based Management (SBM) Practitioners held on September 10, 2026, carrying the theme, “Synergy in Action: Bridging Partnership for Learner Success.”
The assembly served as a significant platform for education leaders, SBM practitioners, and stakeholders across the region to celebrate and strengthen collaborative efforts in advancing quality education through effective School-Based Management. Anchored on the belief that meaningful partnerships are key to learner success, the gathering highlighted the collective responsibility of schools, communities, and education leaders in building responsive, resilient, and high-performing learning environments.
Representing SDO Ligao City in the regional gathering were Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Melchizedek C. Tongco, SGOD Chief Education Supervisor Ernie M. Baranquel, Senior Education Program Specialist for School Management Monitoring and Evaluation Angelo C. Quintan, Ligao East Central School Principal Eric L. Gangawan, and Deogracias P. Princesa Memorial High School Principal and SBM Presenter Iris R. Paz.
Deogracias P. Princesa Memorial High School (DPPMHS), as the SBM presenter of SDO Ligao City, showcased its best practices, innovations, and collaborative initiatives that exemplify the principles of School-Based Management and stakeholder engagement in promoting learner achievement and school improvement.
The assembly underscored the importance of fostering stronger partnerships among schools, local communities, parents, and other stakeholders. It reaffirmed the commitment of SBM practitioners to sustain governance mechanisms that empower schools, encourage shared accountability, and create opportunities for every learner to thrive.
